Moodle Learning Management System is Going Offline March 11 – March 14, 2019

Thomas Edison State University Kelsey ClockThe University will be taking the Moodle learning management system (LMS) offline from Monday, March 11, at 12 a.m. to Thursday, March 14, at 11 p.m. (ET) for upgrades. 

During this time, students' online courses will not be accessible. 

However, with the exception of tests and quizzes, students will still be able to access their course materials and complete their assignments while the LMS is offline by downloading the necessary course documents before March 11.

Why is the LMS going offline? 
So that we can make improvements to the stability, performance and functionality of students’ online courses.

How will the outage impact me?
The system upgrade requires that the University take the Moodle LMS offline for 3 to 4 days. During this time you will not have access to your online courses.

What can I do to prepare? 
You can download your course materials before Monday, March 11, so that you can continue completing your assignments while the LMS is offline. Watch this video to learn how. Or, view printable step-by-step instructions

Will my online courses look different when the LMS is back online? 
No, your online courses will look and function exactly the same way as before.
